Mareham Le Fen C of E Primary School

Mareham Le Fen C of E Primary School supporting Lincolnshire v Hunger

We have supported the work of Shepherd Food Ministries for some time now as part of our global church family and this project is an excellent way of bringing the music curriculum alive with a poignant and meaningful focus, with a purpose of helping others less fortunate than ourselves. At Mareham le Fen Church of England school one of our core Christian values is that of responsibility and we believe that we need to help each other, our local and our global communities in order to make the world a better place. We have been preparing the song by launching a song lyrics competition run by our Worship Wardens we will now be putting our song together over the coming weeks ready for launching it with our school community.

The Priory Ruskin Academy supporting Lincolnshire v Hunger

The Priory Ruskin Academy supporting Lincolnshire v Hunger

We at The Priory Ruskin Academy believe that all people have a voice and that all voices should be heard. Our Year 7 song writing team are on a mission to make sure that their voices are heard and a message is sent out loud and clear about hunger. Music is a fantastic vehicle to highlight world hunger and we are proud to be a part of this competition. We have compared our lives to others and it is sad and unfair how some of us live in a world with technology when some don’t even have enough money to buy food and water. We all think this is upsetting and really want to help. Thank you for giving us this chance! We have united as a team and we are busy writing our song for Lincolnshire vs Hunger, to bring awareness to others. We are working hard on our lyrics to ensure they have real meaning and we are enjoying using the keyboards to help us compose the music. The Priory Ruskin Academy has decided to help support this cause because we believe that everyone should have a right to basic needs.

St. Hugh's School supporting Lincolnshire v Hunger

St Hugh's Catholic primary School

St. Hugh's School is very proud of its musical heritage and we are very privileged to be able sing and play in a number of events throughout the year. Having supported the work of Shepherd Food Ministries before, we are proud to be part of the Lincolnshire v Hunger project and look forward to raising awareness about chronic hunger around the world and supporting those who need our help. Our Junior Choir and Drumming Group will work together with our director of music, Mr Ballard, to compose our song for the campaign, writing lyrics/poetry, rhythms and melodies to become part of our composition. The children in these groups will not only help to compose the music, but will then go on to sing and perform it themselves. Through our song and with the support of our parents, children and staff, we hope to raise awareness about poverty and hunger and take another step in helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
